A Helicopter in Northern Australia crashes into a Hotel Roof
According to authorities, on Monday, 12th of August 2024, a helicopter struck the roof of a (Hilton hotel) in northeastern Australia, sparking a fire at the top of the structure and requiring a large-scale rescue. According to an emergency services official, broken pieces of the helicopter’s propeller fell into the hotel’s pool, and one guy was given dangerous medical attention there. After the chopper crashed at about (1:50 am) local time, hundreds of guests were rescued from the DoubleTree by Hilton in the tropical northern city of Cairns.

Photos displayed a brilliant flaming cloud atop the hotel’s roof. In a video of the incident posted on social media, a female voice can be heard saying, “They simply flew into that building,” as sirens sound in the distance. “You’re crazy, dude. Moves. That was home to people. It went straight in.” Eventually the aircraft’s propellers had displaced, according to Caitlin Denning, director of Queensland Ambulance. “One came down on the Cairns Esplanade, and the other was burning in the hotel pool on the ground floor,” she said to the local press. “There were no reports of injuries taken by people on the ground,” according to Queensland police. Cairns is a well-liked travel destination that provides access to Australia’s famous Great Barrier Reef. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau sent a government specialist team to the crash scene.
