The governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has received the resignation of Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of the province, who was dismissed by Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

On the social media platform X (previously Twitter), Ali Amin Gandapur posted his letter of resignation along with a statement declaring loyalty to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder.

“It is my honor to accept my resignation from the Office of the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in peaceful fulfillment of the orders of my leader, and original Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan,” he said in his post.

In his parting letter, Gandapur details his accomplishments while serving as Chief Minister and announced his resignation.

“The province faced an impossible task of economic collapse and the danger of terrorism when I took over as Chief Minister,” he remarked.

Further he went on to say, “with the help of my cabinet, our party supporters and workers, my bureaucratic team, and most importantly, Imran Khan, we have guided the province to profitability over the past (1.5 years) and have faced the threat of militancy head-on with unwavering decision-making and powerful courage. In a province designated as a war zone by the military, we started massive nation-building programs”.

With the words, “I thank every single one of my ministry colleagues, members of the Assembly – belonging to PTI and from any other opposition – and all officers of KP ministry who supported me face unusual difficulties with governance in KP,” the departing chief minister thanked his cabinet members.

Moreover he stated, “one thing I can say with total conviction is that I represented the people of KP with complete sincerity and always operated in Pakistan’s best interest, even though I couldn’t possibly be able to say that I performed well on all of those problems”. He used patriotic language to wrap up his speech: “PTI Paindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.”
