Abrar Was Purposefully Placed On The Bench To Give Shadab Space.

In a remarkable statement, cricket analyst Dr. Nauman Niaz claims that all-rounder Shadab Khan was intentionally benched in favor of mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed.

Numan Niaz went on to say that Pakistan Captain Salman Ali Agha and the team management didn’t take the chance of bowling Mohammad Nawaz frequently during the competition because of his actions, which are being watched.

He claimed that in order to make way for Shadab Khan, they had initially purposefully benched Abrar for Sufyan Muqeem. “Playing Abrar in the tournament was a last-ditch effort.”

After experiencing ongoing pain in his right shoulder prior to Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Dhaka in July, Shadab recently had shoulder surgery. It was decided that surgery was required to solve the issue after medical consultations.

The leg-spinner is now concentrating on being fully healthy before big assignments. Before that this year, he was named vice-captain for Pakistan’s white-ball tour of New Zealand. He also missed the just finished Asia Cup.

Previous Chief Selector Haroon Rasheed responded by recommending that Pakistan form three groups in order to add a polished set of talent to the team. The T20I World Cup is approaching early next year, so he advised sticking with the current group.
