The 2025 Summer Break Has Been Extended Until September 7th.

An extension of the summer break for 2025 has been announced by the management of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) in Multan.

“The summer vacations for 2025 are increased until the 7th of September 2025, following the suggestions made of the Deans Committee and other members throughout the meeting held on 18.08.2025,” reads an official notification.

The announcement also said that on the same day, all dorms (for both male and female students) would reopen. According to state-run news outlet APP, the Punjab government previously released a notice outlining the updated school schedules for all public educational institutions in the province. After the summer break, schools are expected to open again on August 15, 2025

The announcement from the School Education Department states that “one shift schools would be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. They will close at 11:30 AM on Fridays”.

The morning shift for schools with “two shifts will run Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The morning shift will end at 11:30 AM on Fridays. For double-shift schools, the evening shift starts at 2:00 PM and lasts until 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, the shift lasts from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM”.

The updated schedule takes into account weather patterns and logistical needs around the province in order to promote a seamless academic transition after vacation.
