39 Women’s Colleges And Institutions In Lahore Have Panic Buttons Installed.

Following orders from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has started putting panic buttons at women’s colleges and universities throughout Lahore.
According to a PSCA official on Saturday, the system has been installed at (39) institutions in the first phase and would ultimately be extended to over (450) women’s colleges throughout Punjab.
The central control room of the PSCA is connected to the panic buttons. Pressing it triggers a quick police reaction by sending an alarm to the Virtual Women Police Station. When cell phones are not available, the system is intended to give students an easy way and dependable option to ask for assistance.
The PSCA claims that there are currently (122) panic buttons in Lahore and (101) in neighboring places. Punjab’s public safety infrastructure has grown significantly with the system’s extension to educational institutions.
According to the spokesperson, the technology-driven strategy is a component of larger initiatives to create a safer Punjab, guaranteeing that kids feel safe in learning environments.
