ISLAMABAD: On Friday, the military’s media wing said that China’s Foreign Minister met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff to discuss regional security and counter-terrorism strategies.

Pak-China leadership meeting:

China’s Foreign Ministry visited Pakistan to be a part of the 6th Pakistan-China Strategic Dialogue the next day. On Thursday, he met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif. While meeting with the Prime Minister, the Chinese Foreign Ministry talked about regional stability, development, and security strategies.

On Wednesday, the Chinese Foreign Minister also met with his Afghan counterpart. He clearly stated that China is ready to help its neighbouring countries on every platform. Moreover, he assured China’s readiness to work with the countries for their mutual benefits.

He also added that there is a dire need to make changes in the security strategies of the region that will help make the region safer for the whole world. He also talked about law enforcement strategies and the strive to fight against anti-terrorist activities in the region that promote extremism.

In a statement by ISPR, the two countries’ prominent figures met to strengthen further ties. A statement read, “Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the strategic partnership and enhance coordination at regional and international forums.” 

The ISPR stated that China has always shown its support for Pakistan in thick and thin. Pakistan has shown gratitude to China for always standing by Pakistan, especially in counter-terrorism.

The meeting was successful and ended on a positive note as both countries joined hands in resolving the countries’ affairs of security, peace, and development.

Pak-China bond:

Pakistan and China have always been wonderful partners to each other. Both countries worked together in almost every field, whether it is trade, energy, defence, or infrastructure. The bond between Pakistan and China is being acknowledged globally.

The two countries’ militaries have also built deep mutual trust and cooperation. The Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, said on the 98th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army of China, Pakistan, and China’s enduring partnership will always play a significant role in promoting the region’s peace and stability.

China has also appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in lessening terrorist activities in the region and promoting peace and development in the region.
