According to Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), internet services that were interrupted by the intense rain have been restored throughout Pakistan.
A PTCL official claims that internet access has been fully restored across the country. According to a PTCL official, the problem has been fixed and operations are now returning to normal after PTCL services were disrupted since yesterday evening.
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) services experienced significant disruptions on Tuesday night, causing widespread connectivity problems for consumers throughout Pakistan, including Karachi.
Both online and phone services were impacted by Pakistan’s internet outage, which caused issues for people and companies that depend on digital platforms.

Minister of IT & Telecom Take Action
Slow or nonexistent browsing speed, connection problems, and outages in internet services have been often mentioned in reports from Pakistan’s major cities, especially “Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar”. Business staff and online workers were frustrated by the lack of access to necessary web platforms and applications.
Shaza Fatima, Minister of IT and Telecom, acknowledged the problem and said that experts are looking into it and trying to address the underlying reason. “As soon as the causes are determined and solutions are provided, we will notify the public,” she promised.
Concerns regarding Pakistan’s IT infrastructure have been raised by the internet outage during severe weather and rain, particularly as the majority of people use the internet for “e-commerce, remote job, education, and communication with family members overseas”.
