Trump’s ceasefire deal:
On late Wednesday, Trump posted on his Truth Social Media account about the ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran. A senior White House official said thaf Trump had a telephonic call with Netanyahu. Both Presidents showed their consent on the ceasefire in a 12 day war with Iran. However, Israeli President said that Israel will stop attacking Tehran unless the other side stops its assault.
One of the Iranian officials also said that Iran will stop attacking Israel but only if Israel stops. Early on Tuesday, Abbas Araqchi wrote on his social media account in which he clearly stated that if Israel stops its ‘illegal aggression’ upon Iranian till 4 am (Iranian time), it will also stops its attacks. He also stated, “The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later.”
Israel’s excuses and Trump’s approval:
Israel alleged that after Trump’s brokered the ceasefire deal, Iran sent its various missiles in Israel. As per the witnessses, Iran targeted Tel Aviv and Beersheba in southern Israel.
Iranian semi-official SNN news agency accepted and claimed that Iran has fired its last round of missiles before ceasefire came into effect. Though, before brokering the ceasefire, Trump suggested that both countries are allowed to complete their pending missions within a specific time.
After firing four missiles on Israel, Trump said that ceasefire is now in place. Both countries are strictly prohibited to attack each other. In his social media post, he wrote, “The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it!” Israel’s ambulance service claimed that four people lost their lives in this attack.
War over excuses:
Israel had initiated the attacks on Iran and gave an excuse that Iran is trying to be a nuclear country which is unacceptable. It alleged that Iran’s intention of becoming a nuclear country could be damaging for the rest of the countries including the US and Israel. That is why a step to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities was taken.
The US also holds the same stance. It also told Iran to stop their nuclear process. However, Iran has rejected their assumptions and the Iranian Supreme leader said that if Iran wants to become a nuclear power then the world leaders would not be able to stop them.
Iran’s response over US attack:
The US bombers dropped 30000 pounds bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities. Resultantly, Iran fired 14 missiles at the US airbase. Trump called the attack ‘a very weak response which we expected, and have very effectively countered.’
Vice President JD Vance said, “Iran was very close to having a nuclear weapon. Now Iran is incapable of building a nuclear weapon with the equipment they have because we destroyed it.”
