Sikandar Raza, an all-rounder for the Lahore Qalandars, has spoken candidly about his unexpected return to Pakistan before the PSL 10 final.

Together with Kusal Perera “62 runs for not out”, the experienced all-rounder stayed undefeated at “22 runs off only 7 balls”, helping the Qalandars win the tournament’s final match.

As per the details minutes before the PSL 10 final toss, the Zimbabwe all-rounder reportedly returned to the Qalandars squad.

Hours after avoiding an innings loss in the Test match against England at Trent Bridge, Sikandar Raza spoke frankly about his amazing homecoming to Lahore after the game.

“I batted for about 20 overs yesterday after bowling 25 overs the day before. After breakfast in Dubai and dinner in Birmingham, I went to Abu Dhabi for lunch. He said, “Took a flight and had dinner in Pakistan.”

Skindar Raza remarked that “he wanted to play the last game alongside his teammates after his game-winning effort in the PSL 10 final”.

“I’m confident that the team genuinely wanted me here. It’s unbelievable what the captain and team owners have done over the past (24 to 36 hours) to get me here,” he continued.

It is important to note that Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators by “6-wickets” in Sunday’s 25th of May 2025 PSL 10 final at Gaddafi Stadium, achieving them the title of PSL 10 winners.

With 6-wickets down and 1-ball remaining, the Qalandars, chasing 202 runs, won the match on the 2nd last ball of the final over. Alongside Sikandar Raza, who was still undefeated at 22-runs off 7-balls, Kusal Perera built a game-winning unbeaten knock of 62-runs off 31-balls. Shaheen Afridi has guided the Lahore Qalandars to victory in the PSL final (3) times.
