CTD Captures 20 Terrorists In Punjab IBOs

In (162) intelligence-based operations around Punjab, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) detained (20) terrorists, according to the report.
Regarding the facts, prominent terrorists, including (2) Fitna-e-Khawarij members, were arrested as a result of the operations, which were conducted in many areas, particularly “Lahore and Rawalpindi”.
Among those captured is “Rahim Yar`1 Khan’s” infamous terrorist Munmohan Singh, who was found in “Rawalpindi”. Additionally, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) collected posters, money, and cell phones from the terrorists, along with explosive supplies such as “(3) IED devices, (23) detonators, and safety fuses”.

The chief secretary and IG confirmed that 28th of Feb, a major suicide blast tore through “Akora Khattak’s Darul Uloom Haqqania, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, killing (3) people, including Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq, the chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S).
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) further stated that the terrorists planned to carry out attacks in various locations in order to create fear and panic among citizens. In addition to the arrests, the police also detained (495) suspects during “combing operations” in the province.
Following the death of his father, Maulana Samiul Haq, in 2018, Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq assumed leadership of JUI-S. Sami-ul-Haq was repeatedly stabbed at his Rawalpindi home. The municipal police officer stated that the explosion happened within the seminary following Friday prayers. According to KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, Maulana Hamidul Haq was the target of the attack at “Darul Uloom Haqqania”. He informed reporters that Maulana Hamid-ul-Haq, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami, had passed away. That was a suicide bombing, the KP IGP added.
