Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz Advises Young Athletes, Announces Free E-Bikes

While talking at the inaugural ceremony of the Khelta Punjab Games 2025, the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, announced e-bikes for young athletes.
Free E-bikes for champions:
Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz is trying to earn the trust of her people. She initiated many programmes to ease her people, like Apni Chat, Apna Ghar programme and many more. Recently, Maryam Nawaz attended the Khelta Punjab Games 2025 inauguration ceremony, in which she made the young athletes proud by announcing 2,200 e-bikes for the Champions.
She also announced the free entry of the Champions in the Horse and Cattle Show. She said, “I want Punjab’s players to shine at the international level.”
A message to the youth:
Maryam Nawaz advised the young athletes and urged them to focus on their play rather than politics. She, however, said that they should stay away from all the unrest and focus on their games.

She indirectly pointed out the ex-premier and advised the players to stay away from such politicians and not listen to them. She added, “Do not listen to anyone who incites violence. If someone tells you to attack security forces, burn property, or cause chaos, reject them. Instead, listen to those who encourage you to read, learn, and build a bright future.”
She stressed the importance of education and said that those who think and do bad to the country are not our friends. We should disclose such frauds and work for the betterment of the country. In her words, “Pakistan should be the only red line for everyone. Every action should contribute to the nation’s progress, not destruction.”
Meeting with the European Union delegation:
Maryam Nawaz met with Olaf Skoog, the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights. They discussed democracy, human rights, and the rule of law in Punjab. Maryam Nawaz praised the European Union’s partnership with Pakistan, especially in human rights protection. The delegation reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Punjab’s government in safeguarding minorities, women, children, and vulnerable groups.
Pakistan’s commitment to Human rights:
Maryam Nawaz cleared that Pakistan is committed to maintaining International Human rights standards. The country ensures equal rights for all citizens and upholds democracy and the rule of law.
She also mentioned Pakistan’s recent participation in the UN review on human rights. She highlighted that Pakistan submitted its report under the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD) in August 2024. She also promised to bolster the strong cooperation with the human rights promotion in Punjab.
A vision for a better Punjab:
Maryam Nawaz’s meeting with the EU delegation of Human rights cleared her struggles for a progressive and peaceful Punjab. She aims to create a better future for the province by empowering young athletes to ensure stability.
