Sarim, a (7-year-old) madrassa student, was kidnapped from the North Nazimabad region one week ago, and the police are still looking for him.

Sarim’s location is still unknown, and despite a lot of searching, the missing youngster has not been found.

Some strange calls and texts from unknown numbers were sent to the child’s father; one caller asked for the child’s image, while others demanded an online money transfer. He texted a photo to that number, but it was turned off.

Residents of Karachi are alarmed by this increasing number of kidnappings, underscoring the necessity of strong policies to protect youngsters.
