Pakistan develops App for young people with disabilities
The National Information Technology Board (NITB) plus the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR) have created an online tool to help parents of children with disabilities communicate with the entire globe around them. Based on reports, the NITB is putting roughly (30,000) outside of school special needs youngsters into the system of education. It will help students choose appropriate educational institutions near their homes, allowing them to apply online rather than physically visiting the necessary facility.
Even the app will notify individuals as well as parents about the services and resources available in DGSE (Directorate of General Special Education) centers and institutions, as well as FDE (Federal Directorate of Education) schools, for equitable education. Throughout this time, the victims received (41,615) callbacks plus follow-up calls. People made (131,309) queries in fiscal year (2022 to 2023) and (1,657) received thorough legal assistance and other essential help services. There was a total of (88) calls about children’s freedoms and welfare. These queries concern kids (protection, education, health, and overall well-being. The helpline got (403) calls on issues faced by people with conditions.
These inquiries focus on connectivity, unfair treatment, job prospects, and the giving of necessary assistance and services. There were (577) calls on governance related to human rights issues. These inquiries focused on topics related to accountability, honesty, corruption, and the defense of democratic and civil rights under the larger context of political leadership and organization. There were close to (23) calls involving transgender rights. They requested advice and assistance on challenges unique to the transgender population, especially unfair treatment, healthcare, as well as social acceptance. A lone call was made regarding minorities’ rights. The report requested advice and direction on concerns including injustice, freedom of belief, and equal opportunity for minority groups.
