The Higher Education Commission Provides Scholarships for Master's and PHD Programs in Romania
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Wednesday announced scholarships for Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students to study at the University of Politehnica for the academic year (2024-25), launched by the Romanian Government for Master’s and PhD studies in the fields of Engineering and Information Technology. According to official sources, Master’s studies are being provided by the University of Politehnica Bucharest, Romania, in programs such as (Chemical Engineering), (Electrical Engineering), (Mechanical Engineering), (Energy Engineering), (Electronic Engineering), (Telecommunication and Information Technology), (Aerospace Engineering), (Transportation Engineering), (Computer & Information Technology), S(system Engineering), (Industrial Engineering), (Applied Engineering Science), (Engineering, and Management).

According to the qualifying requirements, candidates with unfinished degrees on the deadline are not eligible to apply. Candidates for the Master’s program must hold a Bachelor’s degree (16 years) and be below the minimum age of 35 at admission. Similarly, students for the PhD/Doctoral program are required to have a Masters degree MS/MPhil (17/18 years) while being under the age of 40 at the moment of application. Still, everyone who applies must present an acceptable HAT test result. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) can adjust or modify the eligibility criteria.

Students need to submit applications online at https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk/ and pick “University of Politehnica Scholarship” after registering and completing their profile. Participate online at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest web page at https://apply.upb.ro/. The closing date for submitting the online application through the Higher Education Commission website is May 3, 2024. Students should go to
